GENERAL CONFERENCE REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

Inclusions:

The conference registration fee includes attendance at the UIC’09 and ATC’09 conferences and all the workshops and symposia associated with the conferences. It also includes the conference/workshop proceedings, conference lunches, morning and afternoon teas and the conference dinner. There is no workshop-only registration.

Author Registration:

Author registration deadline is 11:59pm CST, 15th of April, 2009. Each accepted paper has to have one author registered as a full attendee. The authors have to identify their papers in Part A of the registration form by providing the name of the conference/symposium/workshop (one of the following: ATC, MANS, CPSC, CTC, UFirst) and the paper ID (as received from the program chair). Authors of the workshop papers should check the ID of the their paper in the list of the accepted ATC workshop papers. For authors who have several accepted papers and the papers will be presented at the conference by one author, there is a discount registration fee for the second and following papers if co-authors are not attending the conference. Authors may buy additional pages over the conference limit (max. two additional pages) for additional charge.

Early Non-author Registration:

Full Payment must be received on registration prior to the conference. The cut-off date for early registrations is 11:59 pm CST on 6th June 2009.

Late and/or Onsite Non-author Registration:

Cash and credit card based registration will be available on-site. Late registration fees apply after the 6th of June 2009.

Discounted Registration Fees Available for:

(a) IEEE Members

(b) Authors registering for more than one (1) paper

Refund Policy:

Registrations are transferable in the event that the primary registered person is unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances. Please advise the conference secretariat’s office of the alternative attending delegate details by e-mail.

Tax Invoice:

The completed PDF registration form will become your tax invoice, please retain a copy for your financial record. The completed online registration form will generate a tax invoice receipt and will be sent to you electronically. Please print a copy of your tax invoice for your accounts department. All conference rates are quoted in AUD and include 10% Goods & Services Tax (GST).

Conference Dinner Policy:

The conference dinner is included in the registration fee.. Additional tickets to the conference dinner can be purchased by selecting the respective box in the registration form. If a separate tax invoice is needed for this ticket, please contact the conference secretariat’s office by e-mail.

VISA Support Letter:

VISA support/conference invitation letters will be issued on request to Author delegates or delegates known by the General Chairs.

Other Policies:

Payments made with fraudulent/stolen credit cards will be reported to relevant Australian authorities and will be subject to criminal investigations.

A. CONFERENCE REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • To register on-line use the secure registration process. If you register online, you will automatically receive a confirmation and a tax invoice will be generated and sent to you electronically. This will show on your statement as a transaction with MIE. Online registration accepts VISA and Mastercard.

  • To register by fax or email, please complete this PDF Registration Form and return to the conference secretariat’s office by fax to +61733418006 or e-mail. If you register by fax, your completed registration form will become your tax invoice. Offline registration accepts three credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, AMEX), cheque/money order, and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).

If you have previously registered, but wish to update your details, please contact the conference secretariat’s office by e-mail.

 

B. ACCOMMODATION BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Accommodation is not included in the conference fees. Should you require assistance, please contact the conference secretariat’s office by e-mail. Please select if you would like to make a HOTEL ROOM BOOKING or COLLEGE ROOM BOOKING below:

  • Hotel Booking
A special hotel conference rate had been secured for all UIC/ATC conference delegates. These rates are subject to availability and are correct at the time of quotation. To make your accommodation booking request, you MUST use the accommodation booking form (PDF) below. The completed accommodation booking request forms and payments are to be returned by email or fax to the conference secretariat’s office as soon as possible but not later than the 6th June 2009 to secure your accommodation. Requests received after this date cannot be guaranteed and will be subject to availability. Payments for accommodation should be 'made to' the hotel you select.

All hotel options are located in Brisbane City along the Brisbane River, and are within approximately 10 minutes walking distance from each other. These hotels are also approximately within 10 minutes walking distance to the CITY CAT, the main mode of transport to the conference venue, University of Queensland.

  • University of Queensland Colleges Booking
The University of Queensland offers a limited number of college accommodation rooms for UIC/ATC conference delegates. These rates are subject to availability and are correct at the time of quotation. To make your college accommodation booking request, please contact the respective college as soon as possible to secure your accommodation. Requests will be subject to availability. Payments for accommodation should be 'made to' the college you select.
  1. St Leo's College (NOTE: all rooms booked out by 22.06.2009 - no vacancy)
    Ensuited rooms are available from 01 July to 09 July 2009. Rate: $75 per night (inclusive of all meals).

  2. Cromwell College
    Cromwell College provides catered and fully serviced accommodation twin share (2 single beds per room) available from 06 July to 10 July 2009 and deluxe double rooms (choice of single or double beds) available from 01 July to 10 July 2009. Rate: $120 per single per night (inclusive of 3 meals) or $160 per double per night (inclusive of 3 meals).
